The Flamencos Wildlife and Flora Sanctuary, is located between the Cienega Sabaletes and the Caribbean Sea, 1.5 hours away from Palomino and is the home of many aquatic species and hundreds of birds. Declared in 1992 National and Cultural Heritage of Colombia, the sanctuary is a territory of swamps, lagoons and dry forest that holds a delicate ecosystem composed of multiplicity of birds, fish, crustaceans and plants. Discover this shrimp paradise from of a sailboat and watch the Flamingos drawing with their scarlet red dancing figures on the water.
